It Pays to be a Pest
I used to hang out alot with my Uncle Ron.  Unlike most Uncles and Aunts, he liked to do fun things like play games, watch monster movies and just have fun.  From time to time, I would go over his house and spend the weekend.  On one weekend, he had to run to a store and I came along.  When we stopped at this store, he said he had some business to conduct with the guy who owned the store.  Realizing that I was going to be bored, they took me into a backroom.  I figured that I would end up with some crummy toys to play with or something but soon I realized that this guy was an arcade dealer.  In his backroom was a whole bunch of pinball tables, jukeboxes and arcade games (this was pre Space Invaders, so they were the shoot the gun type).  The guy went over and turned on about six pinball machines.  He handed me a handful of change and told me to have fun.

For the next few hours, I played game after game.  I jumped from one pinball machine to another.  It was great to have all these machines to myself.  But like all fun things, it quickly came to an end.  Their business was done and it was time to go.  I was allowed to keep the remaining change (it was only about fifty cents, but that was alot to a kid), which made it all more exciting.  We finished the night by going home and watching a monster movie on the late show with a bowl of buttery popcorn.  It was the perfect night for a kid.
